LYRICS The gem of the River Ohio, Marietta, Oldest town that I know the waters keep flowing, new growth keeps growing from the Lafayette down Johnson Hollow. Churches and Steeples and good natured people, they are the salt of the earth. Showing Signs of the past everywhere their stories last Looking over Wayne National Forest I won't go away from, the Southeastern Ohio Hills I know the names of every one of them SE OH Hills Forest around Aimesville, meadow larks and cattails Walk the Buckeye Trail down Ol' Shawnee Round the Lake of Tecumseh where the Double X mine dug the graves of the coal company Written on tombstones and 100 yr. old homes winding roads are family names. Living long and surviving off land still providing and building off of what remains. CHORUS Watch the seasons changing Looks of wise old eyes see the next generation as children growing up with the times Drive through covered bridges, on up to the ridges see so far must be into the future Falling from the sky, through the trees, touching life From the Iron Furnace to the Great River CHORUS
2.
LYRICS When the Light of the Morning Touches down on the towns of Black Diamond The moment, the day is dawning to light the world See the Faces, in the hollers and the graves of the sons and the daughters Ancient places, our fathers, saw the future's in the waters CHORUS: I'll shake hands with heaven amazed at all that i see Where I come from their No Boundaries Southeastern Ohio beauty. For all who've come before us Cut a deep path through the forest Where the White Pines grow over coal mines and in a long time all turn to dust There's no rights here for the wicked there's no wrong way to be forgiven in the short life that we're living shows the rights to survive in the time that we're given CHORUS When the moon is rising and the stars thy are shining Hearing thunder seeing lightning and tomorrow lookss frightning There's a place to come home to where grace, knows you With strength, faith, and truth Give the Glory to the Mother she's the only one who made you CHORUS

about

I absolutely loved working on these nature songs, from the first time I put my boots in the dirt in the WNF until the songs were mixed, mastered and released. Opportunities are rare, I feel like this one was exactly what I had wanted to do. My grandfather, Roy Henry, was a nature writer and photographer. I would go on weekend trips with him around Ohio where he would lead group hikes. 25 years later my interest would be "nature songwriting."

Our goal for this release is for you all to enjoy the songs that came from this mission, support SE Ohio natural beauty to be cherished by not only the visitors, but the people who reside in WNF as well as supporting the continuation of one of my goals....to write 10 songs about the American landscape of the the National Forest System.

50% of proceeds will go to ORCA the Outdoor Recreational Council of Appalachia which supports the Baileys Trail System.

50% of proceeds will help fund Jesse's next batch of National Forest songs.

Thank you!!!
